30 minutes from Camping Sant Salvador
With its incredible setting, the location of the camping is perfect for enjoying a complete holiday. We are close to cities with lots of history, such as Tarragona, but also less than an hour’s drive from cosmopolitan Barcelona. We are also surrounded by wonderful natural landscapes, with the Mediterranean Sea and the beach just minutes from the campgrounds. And of course, for all you adventure-seekers, we are also 30 minutes from Port Aventura World and 20 minutes from Aqualeon
Costa Daurada, sun and beach
The beach is easily accessible from the camping thanks to our seafront location, one of the main attractions for visitors. The beach, about three kilometres long, is rectilinear and made up of fine white sand. In addition to the sense of tranquility, the crystal-clear water and the pleasant temperature of the sea, the high concentration of iodine contained in the waters of this section of the Costa Daurada makes them especially healthy.
Port Aventura, the most popular recreational park in Spain!
Port Aventura is a recreational complex located in the municipalities of Vilaseca and Salou in Tarragona, only half an hour's drive from the camping. It is the most popular theme park in Spain and the sixth most popular in Europe. It currently consists of two theme parks (PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land) and a water park (PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park). It is the ideal destination for thrill-seekers.
Tarragona, Roman city
One of the best cities in the world (outside of Italy) for appreciating the grandeur of what once was Roman civilisation. Its monuments and buildings are considered the best preserved in the world. There’s a reason why Emperor Augustus made Tarragona his home and why it is a World Heritage City today.
Aqualeon, with the family
Aqualeon is an amusement and recreational park to enjoy with the whole family and features a water park and safari. Located in Tarragona, very close to El Vendrell, Aqualeon is a park where you can enjoy both aquatic attractions and unforgettable experiences observing all kinds of carnivorous animals in semi-freedom, such as lions, Bengal tigers, bears and even jaguars, which you can see on a safari-style bus tour.
Near the camping, you’ll find the towns of Calafell, Coma-ruga and El Vendrell, with all of their tourist offerings to meet any demand. Either walk or bike along the promenade between Coma-ruga and Sant Salvador, where you can visit the pirate ship with a slide on the beach, Vendrell Karting for those who feel the need for speed, or the endless kilometres of beach between these three municipalities. You’re guaranteed to have a blast. And for culture vultures, the Pau Casals museum is located on the seafront of Sant Salvador, in the same house where the musician lived before being exiled.
Barcelona, cosmopolitan city
A few kilometres from Sant Salvador is Barcelona, a cosmopolitan city on the Mediterranean with lots of history where you’ll find rich historical and cultural heritage. Whether you’re looking for art, leisure, sports, sea or great food... Barcelona is your place. From a visit to the Sagrada Familia —the modernist temple par excellence designed by Antoni Gaudí— to the Camp Nou —home of FC Barcelona— Barcelona awaits you and is less than an hour's drive from the campgrounds.
